That connection between "Brother Elephants" and me
It was until recently when I saw my favourite slugger - Peng Cheng-min slammed a Grand Slammer on Youtube that it cemented my interest in baseball.

Having read how the team was formed, their contribution towards the development of baseball in Taiwan and the name, itself, touched me.

Being a non-Taiwanese, I don’t have the luxury to head to the ballparks to catch the team in action and have to depend on “Facebook” and “Youtube” to keep myself update of the team progress.

Hence, therefore, given the available slot I had not that long ago, I decided to head up to Taipei to catch the team in action live at the ballparks.

At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter what is the outcome of those matches as it’s the ability to turn up in person to give the players my support.

Go Elephants!

The Story of Brothers Elephants
I am sorry the fact that the clip on the left is in Mandarin.

Generally, it summarized the founding process of the Brother Elephants Baseball Club by Brother Hotel back in 1984 and why this modest hotel, by no means of having any strong financial muscles, decided to go all the way out to push Taiwanese baseball into professionalism.

All simply because of the love for the game and the perseverance of Mr Hung Teng-sheng who is widely acknowledged as the "Father of CPBL" for his tireless effort in forming the Taiwanese professional baseball league in 1989.
